Meet Dr. Justin Jesperson

Dr. Jesperson loves being a chiropractor as it allows him to connect with people, establish relationships and pass along knowledge of how to live a better life, through chiropractic and healthy living. What he loves most about chiropractic is that it truly is for everyone, and it will improve everyone’s quality of life. Since everyone has a spine and nervous system, chiropractic is designed to honor that system and its natural inborn abilities to heal and regulate itself.

The Path to Chiropractic

Dr. Jesperson grew up in a chiropractic family – his father, uncle and grandfather all practiced as chiropractors in the same office, and they passed on that love and passion for chiropractic to him at an early age.

I always knew I wanted to be a chiropractor and take good care of my family like my own father did for me. I knew becoming a chiropractor was what I was called to do, because chiropractic honors the body’s inborn potential to heal itself, and no drug, surgery, or doctor is more powerful than that innate ability.

Chiropractic Education

After completing clinical work at the VA Hospital in Kansas City and at the Cleveland Health Center, he interned and treated patients at the Head, Neck and Spine Center of San Diego in La Jolla, CA. Before joining The Chiropractor at Castlebury, for ten years Dr Jesperson was practicing with his father in their East San Diego chiropractic clinic, a long standing chiropractic office that served thousands of families dating back to Dr Jesperson’s grandfather.

Dr. Jesperson’s love of family inspired him to obtain extra training in chiropractic adjusting for prenatal and pediatric patients through the ICPA – International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association – the known leader in chiropractic for teaching and training organization of chiropractors. He is Webster Certified, a technique known for balancing the pelvis of pregnant moms, resulting in the turning of breech babies.

Dr. Jesperson has also been trained and educated in many chiropractic techniques, including Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson Drop, Torque Release, and Activator Methods. While in chiropractic college he interned as a chiropractic student in the VA hospital in Kansas City, MO, assisting veterans in their treatment of neuro-musculoskeletal injuries.

A Passion for Chiropractic

Dr. Jesperson had been in practice for about a year when he realized he was practicing in a healthcare world that was dominated by disease care and utilizing drugs to “fix” problems. While so many other doctors around him seemed to have many options to help their patients in the form of drugs and surgeries, he doubted he could really make an impact on the health and lives of others with “just” one thing – the chiropractic adjustment. During this time of second guessing his chosen profession and wondering if he should pursue becoming a medical doctor, a patient who had been trying to get pregnant for over 8 years, and had been receiving adjustments for just one month, came into the office and proclaimed she was finally pregnant! Another patient told let him know that the headaches she had suffered with for over 6 years straight, were finally going away after getting adjusted.

Success after success story continued to come in with each patient he worked with, and he quickly knew with a certainty that chiropractic was not “just” an alternative to medicine, it was a solid answer for the majority of health challenges in the world.

Dr. Jesperson genuinely cares about his patients and wants to get to know them on a personal level. He wants to hear your stories and connecting with you so he can eventually help you achieve your goals

Family Life

When not in practice Dr. Jesperson enjoys swimming, running, anything physically active, camping and exploring Idaho. He haves even more fun doing it with his family!

Dr. Jesperson and his wife Haley have two little boys at home, Jackson and James. Together they love playing games, having dance parties, tickle fights, and enjoying the fun outdoor activities around Idaho!

Being raised in a chiropractic family, his parents raised their 6 kids to trust in and learn how to care for their bodies so they could enjoy life to the fullest, today and into the future. Now that the kids are all grown up with families of their own, 22 grandkids have been added to fun. Family get togethers are all important.
